If I am interested in something you have for sale, I will endeavor to give you a ballpark figure of its value by telephone or email. This is exclusively without obligation to you. The more information you can provide, the more accurate a price I can give - a detailed photograph is always helpful.  I prefer to see things in person if at all possible.

Therefore should I wish to go further than this then I will try to visit at a mutually convenient time. If this is not practical, I will send payment for the item and arrange collection on approval. All purchases are on 7 days approval, exactly the same terms as I offer on things I sell. I reserve the right to return any item at my cost for a full refund after inspection during this period.

 

Buying from me

All locomotives are described as accurately and fairly as possible.

All models are inspected thoroughly in the workshop, photographed and listed with as much information as possible on their condition. Every item listed on this site has notes and photographs.

You are welcome to inspect anything in the workshop, please call 0151 548 2419  to arrange a visit first.

Everything I sell is on 7 days approval. If it's not what you expected or thought had been described, I will take it back provided it is in substantially the same condition that it went out. I refund the price in full less shipping.

I don't accept deposits to reserve items. If you want to come and see an engine, give me a call - I am usually more than happy to hold it for up-to 10 days to give you a chance to make arrangements to visit.

I can accept payment in cash (UK£ sterling) or cheque. For overseas payments funds can also be wire-transferred direct to my bank account. I reserve the right to clear personal cheques before despatching goods. I don't accept credit cards due to high commission charges.
