ROY GREGSON - MY BLOG!
Welcome to my blog page
Thank you for visiting my website hope you enjoy the new design and steam models you see.
Since the age of about 4, I have always taken a great interest in anything Railways related and over the years this developed into a real passion.
I have worked on the Railway for 22 years and followed my family tradition which spans over 80 years. I Started on the Railway as a Junior Station Messenger at Preston and worked my way through 26 positions covering a variety of Roles including Station Manager to Board of Directors. I have a big passion for Full Size operational trains to miniature trains. My grandad, Great Grandad, Uncle, Dad and me have all worked on the railway.
From the age of 7 I started to enjoy steam locomotives when I stood in my Fathers workshop watching him build his steam locomotives and visiting my Grandad at Preston station where he worked for 44 years starting as a Cleaner to top link Driver and towards his Retirement worked as the Train Crew Supervisor. My dad encouraged me to get involved and now in my thirties and given my ever increasing collection of engines, I think he may regret this!!
My daughter who is 3 loves watching me steam engines and run them at the track. She acquired her first engine this year and loves it!

DUKE OF GLOUCESTER DEPARTING LIVERPOOL LIME STREET 2007, I HAD ONLY A SHORT TURN ROUND TIME WITH THIS CHARTER SERVICE R/A L.A.F.P.W POWER BOX HAD PRESSURE ON ME TO TURN ROUND THIS PRITTY QUICK BECAUSE OF ITS PATH ETC.
